Remote Bushcare – Lower Porters Pass (Blackheath)

| Remote Bushcare is now a regular Saturday group, so there is no excuse to miss out! Come and visit some of the lesser known and more difficult to access parts of Councils reserves. Lower Porters pass is a very remote site in a very unique swamp! A rare (for the Blue Mountains) Phragmites swamp that is under threat by Himalayan Honeysuckle. The walk in and walk out is pretty hard, so a high level of fitness and comfort in the bush is needed for this one. We will be visiting this site several times over the coming year. A reasonable level of fitness, a love of the bush and a sense of adventure is all you need. We provide everything else.
